At Mr. Can Clean, we believe that Vancouver garbage can cleaning  should do more than just make your organics bins smell good. That’s why we teamed up with Heart of the Underdog Animal Rescue for our first fundraiser this spring. Today, we’re excited to share the results!

Thanks to our amazing customers (and a few determined dog lovers), two new orders came in directly through our fundraiser. That means two households signed up for fresh, clean garbage and organics bins and chose to send an extra $20 per subscription straight to Heart of the Underdog. That’s $40 raised for the rescue!

While $40 might not sound like a fortune, it’s a big deal when you look at the bigger picture. Our campaign reached over 3500 people – including 1000 impressions on our blog post and 3500 views through social media. That’s absolutely wild for a Vancouver garbage can cleaning company!

And beyond the numbers, what matters most is the awareness. That’s 3500 chances someone discovered Heart of the Underdog Rescue and 3500 opportunities for more adoptions, more donations, and ultimately, more dogs getting a second shot at the life they deserve.

One of those lucky dogs was Iceberg, who’s now part of the Mr. Can Clean family. Iceberg was rescued by Heart of the Underdog and his foster mom Samantha took the lead in adopting him to us. Now he’s living the dream and every time we think about how Iceberg’s life changed, we’re reminded why we do these fundraisers.
